Enterprise Works is different from
most other Incubation Centres because we become very involved with our
clients’ businesses. We believe that in their start up phase, businesses have
to concentrate more than ever on cash flow. We set out to help them to
achieve this by ensuring that they can maximise the time spent on generating
income.
Enterprise Works owns and manages
22,000 square feet of good quality refurbished factory space in Newhaven
which is available to accommodate manufacturing companies who are in the
early stages of development. Enterprise Works will help them to grow by
providing:
-
Rent
free factory space, with free use of facilities (meeting rooms, first
Aid room, catering point, parking, 24/7 access
-
Light
and heat, power and compressed air, dust and waste extraction and removal
-
Administration, full accountancy services and payroll, health and safety
management, and equipment maintenance
-
IT
infrastructure (Internal network with Broadband access)
-
A
support structure for each client company that includes an independent
experienced business mentor
-
An
environment designed to encourage manufacturing ventures to work along
side and support each other
-
Motivation to drive client companies hard towards success and business
disciplines
-
Access
to a vast business information resource service (provided by telephone or
email in conjunction with RTC North).
There
is no cost for space occupied, but businesses share in the running costs of
the unit on an equal basis. The cost, targeted at well under £20,000 per year, is
equivalent to a supervisor’s salary. In line with our mission, we realise
that some companies will be too small to bear even these modest costs, and
in such cases arrangements will be made that recognise their growth
potential and their targeted ability to ‘pay later’. |

"Enterprise Works enables
ambitious business owners to accelerate their growth through intensive hands
on support, ideas and advice from a team of experienced business mentors.
By taking away
resource-consuming administration we create time to focus on the development
of the businesses and to maximise potential.”
Peter
Hewitt, Director Enterprise Works Ltd.
